Beccles Open Gardens

Beccles, west of Lowestoft, Suffolk
Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2016
11.00am to 5.00pm

A wide range of gardens will be open this year, with an opportunity to view some of the smaller, ‘secret gardens’ in historic Beccles. We will have quizzes and competitions to encourage the widest use of our new weekend entry ticket.

There will be a display on sale of artwork prints and cards by local watercolour artist Sarah Reilly. Her work can be viewed at www.lovecountryuk.co.uk

The Beccles Museum is opening especially to be our Headquarters. In addition, we will have craft activities at St Michael’s Church, while Hipperson’s Boatyard will have entertainments and events. Refreshments will be available at these three locations. We plan to have boat trips on the River Waveney, between Hipperson’s and Beccles Lido, which will give unusual views of the riverside gardens. Community transport will be provided for those less able to walk between town locations.

Proceeds this year will go to the NSPCC.

Cost:
£5.00 per adult – valid for the weekend. Accompanied under 16s free.

How to get event passports:
Entry maps will be available on both days from our headquarters at the Beccles Museum, 18 Ballygate from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. They will also be available at St Michael’s Church and Hipperson’s Boatyard.
